When we take communion it is NOT a religious ceremonial act, but actually a FELLOWSHIP with Christ and remembering what He did for us on the cross. I wanted to share the scriptures that I go over so you can read them and let them speak to you personally. You can take communion at home by yourself or with your family, it is not only for church. Jesus broke bread with His friends in a house and not in a church the night He was betrayed. He also told them “to do this as often as you want in remembrance of Me“. So take some time now and read over these scriptures, let them soak into your spirit then sit down with some grape juice and bread and tell Jesus how much you love Him and remember what He did for you!

1 Cor 11:24-30 NCV
27 So a person who eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in a way that is not worthy of it will be guilty of sinning against the body and the blood of the Lord.28 Look into your own hearts before you eat the bread and drink the cup, 29 because all who eat the bread and drink the cup without recognizing the body eat and drink judgment against themselves. 30 That is why many in your group are sick and weak, and some of you have died.

Mat 6:14-15 NLT
14If YOU forgive those who sin against you, your heavenly Father will forgive you. 15 But if you refuse to forgive others, your Father will not forgive your sins.

Search your own heart for everyone that you hold a grudge (past or present) or offense with and forgive them right now by faith! This sets you free from the bondage regardless of what they do. Forgiveness is a choice not an emotion or feeling!

Prayer:
Father God, I ask you to forgive me of the sins of my mouth, thoughts, motives, actions, and deeds that do not line up with your Holy Word.

Father God, I now forgive everyone BY FAITH by the Blood of the Lamb that has done wrong to me or that has offended me in any way and I release them and hold them harmless as you do me.

(a)  I am the bread that gives life. Your ancestors ate the manna in the desert, but still they died. Here is the bread that comes down from heaven. ANYONE who eats this bread will never die. I AM the living bread that came down from heaven. ANYONE who eats this bread will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give up so that the world may have life.” (b) Now as they were eating, Jesus took bread and praising God, gave thanks and asked Him to BLESS it to their use, and when He had broken it, He gave it to the disciples and said, Take, eat; this is My body. (c)  Do this to call Me affectionately to remembrance. Similarly when supper was ended (d) He took a cup, and when He had given thanks, He gave it to them, saying, Drink of it, all of you; For this is My blood of the NEW covenant, which ratifies the agreement and is being poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. (e) Do this, as OFTEN as you drink it, to call Me affectionately to remembrance. For every time you eat this bread and drink this cup, you are representing and signifying and proclaiming the fact of the Lord’s death until He comes again in ALL His Glory.
(a) John 6:48-51 NCV, (b) Mat 6:26 AMP, (c) 1 Cor 11:24b-25 AMP, (d) Mat 26:27 AMP, (e) Mat 26:28b

Communion is Fellowship with Jesus

1 Cor 10:16-17 AMP
16 The cup of blessing [of wine at the Lord’s Supper] upon which we ask [God’s] blessing, does it not mean [that in drinking it] we participate in and share a fellowship (a communion) in the blood of Christ (the Messiah)? The bread which we break, does it not mean [that in eating it] we participate in and SHARE A FELLOWSHIP (a communion) in the body of Christ? 17 For we [no matter how] numerous we are, are one body, because we all partake of the one Bread [the One Whom the communion bread represents].

John 6:55-57 AMP
55 For My flesh is true and genuine food, and My blood is true and genuine drink. 56 He who feeds on My flesh and drinks My blood DWELLS CONTINUALLY in Me, and I [in like manner dwell continually] in him. 57 Just as the living Father sent Me and I live by (through, because of) the Father, even so whoever continues to feed on Me [whoever takes Me for his food and is nourished by Me] shall [in his turn] live through and because of Me.

Bread – was for eternal life (John 6:50)

Blood – was for the forgiveness of sins (Mat 26:27)

Stripes – was for healing, physically and emotionally (Is 53:4-6, 1 Pet 2:24)
